This was our living and dining room on Sunday. I love Justin's fake enthusiasm. Monday I spent cleaning and Thursday were goodbyes.Both kids have had a very difficult week. Spencer is very confused and doesn't understand this transition period. Madi is sharing a room and also has to deal with the fact that she is switching schools. We thought that if we took the kids to the completely empty house and said goodbye, it would help them understand and have some closure.
Spencer walked into about three rooms and kept saying goodbye. Madi took more time, looking into each room. She spent the most time in her room. We got in the car and Spencer said, "goodbye house, lub you."
We spent 8 years in this house. This was the house that Spencer came home from the hospital to. Many happy memories.
On Friday, we closed on the house. The house now belongs to a new family. A very sweet couple with four kids who are so excited to "move up" to a larger house. I'm glad that someone will take good care of the house.
